This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes to users (“User,” or “Users,” or “you”) how Cosmic Rewards (“Cosmic Rewards,” “we,” “us” or “our”) may collect, use, disclose or otherwise process personal information in connection with you using the Cosmic Rewards website located at cosmicrewards.com and any other websites and platforms we own and operate that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Site”), the Cosmic Rewards mobile app (the “App”), and our related products and services, events, social media pages, and email and other electronic communications (collectively, and together with the Site and App, the “Services”). 

We reserve the right to change or otherwise modify the Privacy Policy. Return to this page periodically to review the most current version of the Privacy Policy. The top of the Privacy Policy will display the date that the last edits were made to this policy. Your continued use of the Services following posting or other notification of changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acknowledgement of such changes.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect personal information you provide directly or indirectly to us, such as when you create or modify your account, request services, redeem your rewards, contact user support, or otherwise communicate with us. This information may include: name, email, location, age, gender, social media profiles, phone number, and birth date. During the registration process, we will also collect information such as your IP address and Google Advertising ID (together, the “ID”). 

If you sign into our Service using a third-party profile, we will import the first name and last name displayed in such profiles, such as information on Facebook or Google, on our platform.

When you use our Services, we will also collect information about how you interact with the games advertised on our platform. The type of information we collect relates to: i) achievements that are unlocked, ii) in-game purchases, iii) other apps on your device, iv) the time you spend playing games, v) the Stardust you’ve earned in Cosmic Rewards, and vi) the game experience earned (collectively “User Gaming Profile”). A User Gaming Profile is used to optimize each User’s experience by suggesting new games you may love based on past activity.

AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION

Upon accessing and when using the Services, certain information will be required to provide the services and are automatically collected, such as:

  • Aggregated app usage information;

  • The session ID;

  • The time and date you access the mobile app; and

  • Device information and geolocation data.

Users cannot disable the collection of this information. If you do not want this information collected, you must not use Cosmic Rewards.

Cosmic Rewards, our service providers, and our advertising partners may automatically log information about you, your computer, or mobile device, and your activity over time on our Services and other sites, apps, and online services. Like many online services, we use cookies and similar technologies to facilitate some of the automatic data collection described above, such as:

  • Cookies, which are text files that websites store on a visitor’s device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser for the purpose of helping you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, enabling functionality, helping us understand user activity and patterns, and facilitating online advertising.

  • Software development kits, or SDKs, are third-party computer codes used in connection with our App for a variety of purposes, including to provide us with analytics regarding the use of our App, to add features or functionality to our App, or to facilitate online advertising. SDKs may enable third parties to collect information directly via our App.

USE OF INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Account creation;

  • To provide, maintain, perform and improve the Services;

  • Enabling you to redeem rewards earned on our platform;

  • To perform internal operations, including, conducting data analysis, testing and research and to troubleshoot technical and service issues; 

  • To monitor and analyze usage and activity trends; 

  • Personalization of ads, new game recommendations and opportunities to earn rewards; 

  • For fraud prevention purposes, protection against abuse of our Services, and to guarantee that the use of our Services are in accordance with Cosmic Rewards’ Terms of Use; 

  • To communicate with you about our products, services, promotions and news;

  • To provide maintenance and support; and

  • To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide personal information.

Additionally, personal data may be used and disclosed to the extent Cosmic Rewards may deem reasonably necessary to enforce the terms of any agreement between you and Cosmic Rewards, or to protect the rights, property or safety of any person or entity, or if required by law, specifically in response to a demand from government authorities, or as we believe necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws.

We may also use your information to create de-identified, aggregated statistical and analytical data. We use this information for research and development purposes, including to study and improve the Services and our business, understand and analyze the usage trends and preferences of our Users, and develop new features, functionality, products, and services.

SHARING INFORMATION

In addition to the specific situations discussed elsewhere in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection, we may share the collected information with other parties as follows:

  • Related Companies: We may share your personal information with our affiliates, subsidiaries, and other related companies.

  • Service Providers: We have agreements with various service providers to facilitate the rendering of our Services and to operate our business. For example, we work with service providers that help us perform website hosting, maintenance services, database management, analytics, fraud protection, process payments, marketing, and other purposes. 

  • Third-party advertisers: We have advertisement agreements with mobile game owners, developers and marketers to facilitate the rendering of our Services and provide you with offers we feel you may be interested in. If you choose to download an advertised game and provide your personal information to the advertiser, please know that we do not control their data processing practices and recommend that you review their privacy policies before sending personal information to them. 

  • Statistical Analysis: We may share anonymized User ratings and review of apps and aggregated anonymized information with third parties, including but not limited to, statistical, machine learning, advertising, or marketing purposes. 

  • Professional Advisors: We may share personal information with persons, companies, or professional firms providing Cosmic Rewards with advice and consulting in accounting, administrative, legal, tax, financial, debt collection, and other matters.

  • Authorities and Others for Compliance, Fraud Prevention, and Safety: We may disclose personal information in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or for the purposes of compliance, fraud prevention, and safety discussed above.

  • Transactions: We may share personal information with third parties in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, acquisition, consolidation, reorganization, divestiture, or dissolution of all or a portion of our business (including in connection with a bankruptcy or similar proceedings). 

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are not intended for use by individuals under age 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. 

‍YOUR CHOICES 

You have the following choices regarding your personal information:

  • Modifications to Your Personal Information. It is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal information changes. If our platform does not permit you to update or correct certain personal information, please make requests by writing to privacy@cosmicrewards.com.  

  • Delete Your Account. You may also ask us to delete your account by contacting us as provided below. By deleting your account, however, any rewards or Stardust that you have earned and not redeemed will be deleted. Please note that we may send you an email requesting your confirmation before we delete your account.

  • Unsubscribe from Marketing Emails. You may opt out of receiving promotional messages from us by following the instructions (unsubscribe mechanism) in those messages. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account, about Services you have requested, or our ongoing business relations.

  • App Push Notifications. Upon download of the mobile application, you were provided the option to opt-in to receiving notifications that may include alerts, sounds, and icon badges. Push notifications can be configured in settings on your mobile device. 

  • Cookies. Most browsers let you remove and/or stop accepting cookies from the websites you visit. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser’s settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all functionality of our Site.   • Advertising. You can limit the use of your information for behavioral-based advertising by blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings, using browser plug-ins/extensions, and/or using your mobile device settings to limit the use of the advertising ID associated with your mobile device. You can also opt out of receiving targeted advertising from companies participating in the following industry opt-out programs by visiting the linked websites: the Network Advertising Initiative (http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://optout.aboutads.info). Users of our mobile applications may opt out of receiving targeted advertising in mobile apps through participating members of the Digital Advertising Alliance by installing the AppChoices mobile app, available here, and selecting the user’s choices. Many of the opt-out preferences described in this section must be set on each device and/or browser for which you want them to apply. Please note that some of the advertising companies we work with may not participate in the opt-out mechanisms described above, so even after opting-out, you may still receive interest-based advertisements from other companies. If you opt-out of interest-based advertisements, you will still see advertisements online but they may be less relevant to you.

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to help us analyze how the Site is being accessed and used. NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS (SHINE THE LIGHT)

Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents who have an established business relationship with Cosmic Rewards are entitled to ask us for a notice describing what categories of personal information we share with third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and would like a copy of this notice, please submit your request to the email address listed at the end of this Privacy Policy with “Shine the Light” in the subject line.

NOTICE TO NEVADA RESIDENTS

Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A allows Nevada residents to opt-out of the “sale” of certain types of personal information. Subject to several exceptions, Nevada law defines “sale” to mean the exchange of certain types of personal information for monetary consideration to another person. If you are a Nevada resident who wishes to exercise your “sale” opt-out rights, you may submit a request to us using the contact information listed at the end of this Privacy Policy. 

SECURITY

We take the security of your personal information very seriously. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure and may pass through entities that we do not control. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, no data security measures can be guaranteed to be completely effective to avoid all risks related to transacting information on the internet. 

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our Services may link to other websites or apps such as the Google Play Store, including content offered by third parties that we do not control and whose privacy and data collection practices may differ from ours. We are not responsible for and have no control over these third parties and their practices, including the information or content contained within them. Please make sure you understand how any third party collects, stores and utilizes your information by reading their privacy policies.

‍INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Cosmic Rewards is based, and the Site and App are hosted, in the United States of America. If you are visiting the Services from a country outside of the U.S. with laws governing data collection, use, and disclosure that may differ from U.S. law, please note that any personal information that you provide to us will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By providing your personal information, where applicable law permits, you hereby specifically and expressly consent to such transfer and processing and the collection, use, and disclosure set forth herein.
